Artheo was born from a deeply personal experience: in our families, special garments have always been kept, cherished and passed on. When our firstborn sons, Arthur and Theodor, wore pieces that had once belonged to their grandfathers, we felt the emotional power such garments can hold.
They are more than clothing. They preserve memories, connect generations and become part of a family’s story.
This idea became the foundation of Artheo: an Austrian luxury brand for baby and children’s clothing, creating timeless pieces in heirloom quality — made for meaningful moments and designed to be passed on one day.

We are Laura and Valentina, the heart and soul behind Artheo.
We are long-time friends, mothers and the founders of Artheo. Our story began long before the brand: at school, where a friendship grew into a lasting bond. We went through our twenties together, stood by each other as bridesmaids, and in 2023 became mothers to our sons, Arthur and Theodor, within just a few days of each other.
Motherhood brought with it a new search: for baby and children’s clothing that felt refined, classic and special — yet comfortable, wearable and suited to modern family life.
We found beautiful pieces. But rarely the combination we were looking for: timeless elegance, natural materials, traditional craftsmanship and a quality made to last.
So we decided to create it ourselves.
The name Artheo
Artheo combines the names of our firstborn sons: Arthur and Theodor. They were the beginning of our journey as mothers — and the inspiration for a brand that places childhood, family and memory at its heart.
To us, Artheo stands for the belief that children’s clothing does not have to be fleeting. A special garment can accompany a moment, be carefully kept and tell a new story years later.
A love for Spain. A search for something lasting.
When we began dressing our own children, we found ourselves searching for pieces that felt as classic and meaningful as the garments treasured in our own families — the kind of clothing kept carefully, remembered fondly and passed on to the next generation.
We wanted pieces that could be worn for special occasions, yet still feel natural and comfortable for a child. Clothes that made a child look beautifully dressed, without ever feeling dressed up in a way that restricted them. Whether for a family gathering, a festive celebration or simply a sunlit afternoon walk, we wanted to find that rare balance between traditional charm and modern ease.
At the same time, our travels often led us back to Spain — a country close to our hearts. We were drawn to the warmth of Spanish family life, the vivid colours, the elegance of traditional children’s clothing and the extraordinary craftsmanship behind each detail.
There was something about Spanish childrenswear that stayed with us: its sense of celebration, its love of detail, its connection to family moments. But we also felt the need to reinterpret that tradition for modern parents — with soft natural materials, thoughtful cuts and pieces that could move easily between occasions, seasons and everyday family life.
Artheo was born from this search: from the memories we inherited, the traditions we wanted to continue and the world we wanted to create for our own children. A world where baby and children’s clothing can be beautiful, meaningful and practical — made not only to be worn, but to be remembered.
