Materials

We believe in clothing that breathes, feels gentle against delicate skin, and is kind to our planet. That is why we carefully select natural, sustainable textiles. These fabrics are not only better for babies, but they also age gracefully, becoming even softer and more cherished with each wear.

Natural Fibres

Artheo´s natural fibres

Clothing made from natural fibres is much kinder to the environment than synthetic fibres. That's why Artheo's products are made from cotton, linen and wool. Natural fibres are essentially plant-based materials, which means they'll break down naturally. We use organic cotton, which is much more environmentally friendly and uses fewer pesticides.

The fibres and fabrics used have quality seals and sustainability certificates, such as the GOTS (‘Global Organic Textile Standard’) certificate. GOTS is the most important international standard for the sustainable production of textiles and clothing made with natural fibres from organic farming.

The cones dyeing plant of our fabrics producer allows for savings up to 48% water and 57% energy in comparison to a traditional dyeing mill. Our fabrics plant follows the ZDHC parameters about wastewater, as confirmed by related audit.

Cotton

(Organic) Cotton

Cotton is hypoallergenic and extra soft, making it perfect for sensitive skin. Cotton is highly breathable, which means it absorbs moisture and keeps little ones cool and dry even on the hottest days. Our girls' dresses are also fully lined with 100% cotton, making them comfortable for sensitive skin.

Wool

Merino Wool

Merino wool is an exceptional natural material known for its lightness, comfort and durability. Merino sheep produce ultra-fine wool that is finer and higher quality than other types of wool, with amazing softness, lustre and breathability to keep our youngest wearers cool and dry.

Silk

Natural Silk

Natural silk is a soft, elegant fabric with a smooth feel and natural sheen. Lightweight yet strong, it regulates temperature, making it comfortable year-round. Hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin, it is ideal for sensitive individuals. Its graceful drape makes silk perfect for ceremonial clothing and festive occasions, while being a renewable and biodegradable luxury textile.
